Gina Nigrelli’s JULES SMITH collection is reminiscent of influential runway looks of decades past, infused with modern day influences. Gina’s aesthetic marries her unique contemporary point-of-view with the classic statement-making trends of the 1970’s and 80’s. She’s identified the free-spirited essence of the 70’s and the glamour and excess of the 80’s as her brand inspirations. JULES SMITH styles include signature bangles, bold cuffs, engraved monochromatic animal print pieces, chain link silhouettes, star motifs and vintage charms.

Gina’s interest in vintage fashion began while shudying abroad in Harare, Zimbabwe, where she found herself sketching and collecting rare pieces. She formally began her fashion career as a merchandiser at Diesel in Las Vegas and then moved to Chicago where she earned a degree in fashion design at The International Academy of Design. She and her husband relocated to the Caribbean in 2006. It was on the island of St. Thomas where Gina created the JULES SMITH line, blending the influences of her life experiences, vintage fashion interests, and the innate jewelry culture she found herself residing in. In 2008, Gina’s appreciation for history, adventure and the fashion community led her to settle in Fort Greene, Brooklyn with her husband, where she could further expand the Jules Smith line in the home-base of New York City.
