Fiona Kotur Marin

A native New Yorker and a former accessories designer with Polo Ralph Lauren in New York, Fiona Kotur Marin has fashion in her blood. With her mother, a painter and former designer for a Parisian couture house in the 1960’s, and her sister, the editor of a fashion magazine, it is only natural for Fiona to find herself fitted comfortably in the world of creative glamour.
Well traveled, culturally and artistically inclined, Fiona often finds inspirations from the art deco era, as well as from exotic lands with rich histories of textile and ornament. She first introduced a limited edition of brocade clutches under her maiden name KOTUR in 2004, inspired by the remarkable discovery of a trove of vintage brocades while traveling through Asia. The collection was immediately picked up by international retailers such as Bergdorf Goodman and Scoop in New York, Harvey Nichols in Hong Kong, and Browns in London. Embraced by the love of art and culture, KOTUR projects an overtone of chic retro glamour that stylishly intergrades with new exotic elements.
With the combinations of talents and a keen sense of manufacturing capability, Fiona works with new concepts of vintage chic that blends modern technique and traditional craftsmanship. The extended collection of KOTUR includes the chic, sought after minaudieres and clutches, in metallic gold & silver, Swarovski crystals, as well as treated exotic skins, and the popular Wallace day bag collection has further developed into a wider range of totes and shoulder bags. The KOTUR brand today is well received throughout United States, Europe and Asia.
Currently residing in Hong Kong with her American Financier husband and four children, Fiona divides her time between Hong Kong and New York, she is an active supporter to humanitarian causes, a member of the charity organization - Operation Smile China Medical Mission (www.operationnsmile.net), a non profit organization supporting the provision of medical services, equipment and treatment for children with facial deformities. Proceed of the sales of the KOTUR vintage brocade collection is donated to the Operation Smile Foundation.

of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA). As one of only 28 elected
designers this year, Fiona KOTUR joins current prestigious CFDA
members including Oscar de la Renta, Vera Wang, Marc Jacobs, Tory
Burch, Calvin Klein and Derek Lam.
